Job Summary

    The Environmental Manager oversees the processes that seek to control environmental entities in orientation to a plan or idea. This position entails a wide remit and will review the whole operation, carrying out environmental audits and assessments, identifying and resolving environmental problems and ensuring necessary changes are implemented.

Job Responsibilities 1

    Manage and oversee the environmental performance of the organization including developing, implementing

    and monitoring environmental strategies that promote sustainable development.

    Keep abreast of international developments that can contribute to environmental best practices.

    Provide professional knowledge and expertise in the administration and support of the environmental

    programs.

    Develop systems to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

    Manage the implementation of environmental policies and practices.

    Implement all the policies, procedures and norms as per the organization’s set of system.

    Monitor all the adopted practices of the organization pertaining to in-built environmental practices all across the

    project

Job Responsibilities 2

Generate and maintain the reports, records and documents.

Monitor and regulate Company's compliance with guidelines set forth by the organization, complying all the

applicable international and local norms as per the applicability.

Develop and implement environmental strategies and action plans that ensure corporate sustainable

development.

Manage all the different environmental strategies will be developed and implemented so that the organization’s

long term vision for sustainability can be achieved.

Ensure that the implication of best environmental practices will be adopted to improve the set system of the

organization in an effective way.

Take the lead on sustainable procurement for all goods and services.

Manage the environmental aspects will be included for adopting the best practices for enhancing positive

environment aspects.

Job Knowledge & Skills

Able to perform at an advance level of Word, Excel, and Power Point. High skills in communication in

English. Knowledge of Environmental compliance, procedures, statutory requirements and compliance with

Qatar Regulations. Knowledge of ISO 14001.Understand ecosystems and biodiversity interactions. Knowledge of

Environmental Management set of systems and standards. Technical expertise knowledge for various

environmental issues. Knowledge of the scientific principles relative to environmental control.

NEBOSH Environmental Certified

ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.

Job Experience

Minimum 8 year(s) working experience, 5 year(s) relevant working experience, 2 year (s) GCC is a plus

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
