Job Summary

To evaluate the materials required for a critical project compromising the massive projects in Qatar & KSA. This role is responsible for providing all necessary assistance to the construction team concerning all materials required for submittals, approvals, testing, sampling, etc., related to the project(s) main scope of works.

Job Responsibilities 1

Directly Reporting to the Sr. Technical & Engineering Manager/Director in the absence of the Material Manager.

Undertaking technical reviews and assessment of project materials specifications, providing comments, clarifications, and identifying risks as and when required.

Under the guidance of the Material Manager, generated material qualification documents, procurement specifications, and technical reports related to the full product material range. Ensures compliance with project specifications of all materials and legal requirements.

Existing Vendor (s) / Service provider (s) technical support, develop and maintain technical liaison with vendors as part of continuous improvement, including responses to vendor material technology queries and clarifications as and when required.

Develops, maintains, and updates the technical library with the relevant suppliers/subcontractor’s profiles, brochures, and catalogs.

Job Responsibilities 2

Review supplier and subcontractor proposals in coordination with Construction to ensure the scope of work and commercial requirements are in line with the conditions as per the scope of work.

Prepare comparison sheets for management review and attend site meetings as needed to coordinate procurement requirements.

Responsible for preparing material submittals and subcontractor pre-qualifications, and shop drawings to consultants.

Assists project construction team with obtaining client/consultant approvals on material/sub contractors when needed.

Prepares Matrix of all requirements, identifies technical elements and detail options available.

Study contract documents to become thoroughly acquainted with exact requirements and specifications.

Experience in product specification, material testing methodology for civil/architectural

Job Experience

8+ years of Total experience required

6+ years of relevant experience

3 years in GCC (preferred)
