Job Summary

The Senior BIM Engineer supports the development, coordination, quality assurance, and delivery of architectural Building Information Models for large-scale and mega projects across the project lifecycle.

The role collaborates with project owners, architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and BIM service providers to improve multidisciplinary coordination, identify design conflicts, strengthen project documentation, and support construction efficiency, cost control, scheduling, and effective project delivery.

The position produces coordinated BIM models and drawings, maintains model and revision controls, performs clash detection, derives quantities, supports project-specific BIM guidelines and close-out documentation, and assists project personnel in the effective use of BIM tools and workflows.

Job Responsibilities 1

BIM Model Development & Documentation

Develop, update, and manage schematic, detailed-design, construction, and as-built architectural BIM models in accordance with approved project requirements and delivery schedules.

Use Autodesk Revit for architectural modeling, documentation, schedules, sheets, details, families, and other BIM deliverables.

Prepare coordinated BIM models, shop drawings, drawing sets, model views, schedules, and supporting documentation accurately and on time.

Create and maintain project-specific Revit families and library components.

Model Coordination & Clash Detection

Coordinate architectural models with structural, MEP, civil, specialist, and construction models.

Use Navisworks for federated model review, clash detection, issue identification, and coordination tracking.

Identify design conflicts, incomplete or ambiguous information, constructability concerns, and coordination risks.

Develop model views and visualizations to illustrate contractor questions, proposed solutions, and sequencing requirements.

BIM Standards, Quality & Information Management

Apply BIM Execution Plans, modeling standards, naming conventions, LOD/LOI requirements, and common data environment workflows.

Perform model-quality reviews covering geometry, information completeness, coordinates, model health, documentation consistency, and compliance.

Maintain BIM revision logs, issue registers, model exchange records, and accurate audit trails.

Support project-specific BIM guidelines, templates, checklists, and procedures.

Project Delivery & Construction Support

Support construction coordination, scheduling, quantity derivation, and model-based review of planned activities.

Derive and validate material quantities to support estimation, procurement, cost reporting, and forecasting.

Provide model-based inputs for change orders, notices, design revisions, and project-control requirements.

Produce drawing sets and model outputs for reviews, workshops, site coordination, and stakeholder presentations.

Stakeholder Coordination, Training & Close-Out

Coordinate deliverables with consultants, BIM service providers, subcontractors, and internal project disciplines.

Participate in BIM coordination meetings, design reviews, and clash-resolution sessions, tracking actions through closure.

Assist the BIM Manager in training project personnel on BIM tools, standards, and project-specific requirements.

Assist in compiling final coordinated models, as-built information, registers, and contractual BIM close-out documentation.

Job Knowledge & Skills

Architectural BIM Delivery: Strong knowledge of architectural modeling, construction documentation, model progression, and BIM deliverables.

BIM Standards & Workflows: Sound knowledge of BIM Execution Plans, model standards, common data environments, information exchanges, and quality workflows.

Construction & Coordination Knowledge: Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and identify coordination and constructability issues.

Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication and coordination skills across multidisciplinary, contractor, consultant, and client teams.

Planning, Accuracy & Independent Delivery: Ability to organize priorities, meet deadlines, maintain accurate records, and work with minimal supervision.

Job Experience

Professional Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in BIM Architecture, architectural modeling, or BIM coordination.

Project Scale: Demonstrated experience supporting large-scale or mega projects.

Complex Project Environment: Experience delivering BIM solutions on large-scale, multidisciplinary, and high-value projects involving multiple stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors across international or regional markets is preferred.

BIM Delivery: Hands-on experience producing models, coordinated drawings, clash reports, quantities, revision records, and close-out deliverables.

Multidisciplinary Coordination: Experience collaborating with architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and BIM service providers
