Steel Production Foreman
Job Summary
Take the lead in controlling the physical quality of finished product, weight, rolling mill efficiency and provide satisfactory volume of production by operating rolling mill machines.
Job Responsibilities 1
Coordinate with other department supervisors in maintaining smooth operation of the mill.
Provide activities before and after operations, troubleshooting during mill operations.
Maintain efficient operations and adequate volume of production.
Maintains mill equipment during mill shutdown.
Performs additional task assigned by the immediate superior.
Perform roll changeovers and setup on production equipment to meet production specifications.
Ensure rolls are correctly aligned and installed, maintaining proper clearance and tolerance.
Conduct routine inspections on rolls to identify surface wear, cracks, or damage that could affect performance.
Troubleshoot roll-related issues, making necessary adjustments and repairs to ensure consistent production quality.
Job Responsibilities 2
Use precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers) to ensure rolls are ground to exact specifications.
Follow all safety protocols, ensuring the proper handling and storage of rolls and related equipment.
Adhere to safety regulations for working with heavy machinery, including lockout/tagout procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Participate in safety training sessions, audits, and initiatives aimed at maintaining a safe work environment.
Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure all equipment meets process requirements and minimize downtime during production runs.
Coordinate with the quality control team to inspect the finished product and ensure they meet the required specifications.

Minimum 3 years working experience, 2 years relevant working experience, 1 year GCC experience is a plus
