Job Summary

The Electrical and Electronic Systems Manager ensures the reliable operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of all electrical and electronic systems within the airport, including power distribution, lighting, control systems, and specialized airport electrical infrastructure. The role manages preventive and corrective maintenance programs, supervises technical teams and contractors, and ensures all systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with international aviation and electrical engineering standards.

Job Responsibilities 1

Oversee the operation and maintenance of electrical and electronic systems across terminals, airside, and landside facilities to ensure uninterrupted power supply and functionality.

Manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs for electrical distribution, lighting systems, generators, UPS, PLC controls, and low-voltage systems.

Ensure compliance with international standards (IEC, BS, ICAO Annex 14) and local electrical regulations governing airport electrical safety and reliability.

Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and facility teams to plan electrical works and minimize operational disruptions.

Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of new electrical systems and upgrades in line with design and quality standards.

Monitor power consumption, load balancing, and energy efficiency initiatives to optimize cost and sustainability performance.

Lead fault analysis, root cause investigations, and system restoration activities for electrical failures and unplanned outages.

Manage electrical contractors, service providers, and OEMs, ensuring compliance with SLAs, technical specifications, and safety procedures.

Develop and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and asset records for all electrical and electronic systems.

Train and develop electrical engineers and technicians to maintain high technical competency and safety awareness.

Job Knowledge & Skills

In-depth understanding of airport electrical and electronic systems, including medium/low voltage distribution and control systems.

Strong knowledge of electrical engineering codes, safety standards, and maintenance best practices.

Proficiency in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and electrical system design review.

Strong leadership, contractor management, and coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams.

ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills, are a requirement to be successful in this role (this point to be available for all roles that have SAP access)

Job Experience

Minimum 5 years working experience, 3 years relevant working experience, 2 years GCC experience is a plus.
