Job Summary

As a Psychology Assistant at the View Hospital, you will be an integral part of our Psychology Department, assisting psychologists and other mental health professionals in delivering high-quality care to our patients. You will work closely with individuals dealing with a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges, contributing to their overall well-being.

Job Responsibilities 1

Patient Assessment: Conduct initial interviews and assessments under the guidance of licensed psychologists to gather essential information about patients' mental health history, presenting issues, and treatment goals

Treatment Planning: Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients, including the selection of appropriate therapeutic interventions.

Therapeutic Support: Provide emotional support and assistance during therapy sessions, helping patients to feel comfortable and engaged in the therapeutic process.

Data Collection: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting progress, treatment outcomes, and other relevant information in compliance with hospital policies and legal requirements.

Testing and Evaluation: Administer and score psychological tests and assessments as directed by licensed psychologists.

Job Responsibilities 2

Crisis Intervention: Assist in crisis intervention situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients.

Education: Offer psychoeducation to patients and their families on various mental health topics, coping strategies, and resources available for ongoing support.

Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.

Continuing Education: Stay informed about the latest developments in the field of psychology and participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Job Experience

Previous experience in a healthcare or mental health setting is a plus.

Knowledge of psychological assessment tools and therapeutic techniques.
