Job Summary
The Assistant Surveyor supports senior surveyors and engineers in conducting land surveys and measurements for construction, infrastructure, or land development projects. They assist in collecting data, analyzing survey results, and preparing reports and maps to facilitate project planning and decision-making. Additionally, Assistant Surveyors may assist in setting up surveying equipment, conducting field surveys, and maintaining surveying instruments and records. Their role is essential in providing accurate and reliable survey data to support the successful completion of various construction and engineering projects.
Job Responsibilities 1
Assist in setting up and calibrating surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS devices, and levels.
Participate in field surveys by measuring distances, elevations, and angles using surveying instruments.
Collect and record survey data accurately, ensuring adherence to established surveying methods and procedures.
Assist in the analysis and interpretation of survey data to create maps, charts, and reports for project planning and design.
Maintain surveying equipment and instruments in proper working condition by cleaning, calibrating, and performing routine maintenance tasks.
Assist in the preparation of surveying documents, including survey plats, boundary descriptions, and legal documents.
Collaborate with surveyors, engineers, and other project team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of surveying tasks.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working in the field and on construction sites to prevent accidents and injuries.
Assist in resolving technical issues or discrepancies related to survey data and measurements.
Perform other duties as assigned by senior surveyors or project managers to support project objectives and timelines.

Job Knowledge & Skills
Knowledge of mathematics, survey computer programs, and survey computations applicable to the
work.
Knowledge of the principles and practices of land surveying.
Knowledge of land surveying activities and techniques, engineering sketches, maps and drawings.
Proficient understanding of land surveying principles, techniques, and equipment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret survey data and resolve discrepancies.
Attention to detail and accuracy to ensure precise measurements and boundary determinations.
Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and surveying standards to ensure compliance.
Effective communication skills to interact with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.

Minimum 3 year(s) working experience, 2 year(s) relevant working experience, 2 year (s) GCC is a plus
