Job Summary

Support Legal Councils to monitor all legal activities of the Group to ensure that they are carried out in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and charters of the companies within the Group. The position develops, maintains, and disseminates legal information to all stakeholders (e.g., cases, statutes, and regulations) to provide support to legal team and assures staff knowledge remains up to date.

Job Responsibilities 1

  • Contribute to the development and execution of the department’s short to mid-term plans to ensure alignment with the division’s strategic priorities and contribute to the development of annual business plans for the assigned areas of responsibility to support the achievement of financial objectives.
  • Monitor, control and report key performance indicators related to the department, to track performance and recommend corrective actions.

Job Responsibilities 2

  • Advise on general business law issues and managing the legal issues of all areas of the company, including but not limited to corporate matters, procurement, safety, security, insurance and sustainability issues.
  • Represent the department as required in liaison with the superior.
  • Cooperate and collaborate with the other members of the legal department abroad.
  • Anticipate and manage the (legal) risks connected with or resulting from the business strategy and operations.
  • Secure compliance of business operations with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Pro-actively create and maintain awareness of business employees for (compliance with) relevant laws and regulations.
  • Review all legal matters and conducts legal research and studies.
  • Provide legal advice on various matters including but not limited to contracts and agreements templates, corporate affairs, advisory to the organization business units, corporate governance, legal compliance, Joint Venture, Major Projects, disputes and employment related topics.
  • Prepare draft contracts and agreements required for Company activities and reviews contracts and agreements and submits recommendations.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents (Notices, claim, official forms, etc.) and corporate documents (Board resolutions, shareholders’ assembly, minutes of the meetings, etc.
  • Advice on preparing and negotiating a range of commercial and corporate agreements/documents for the group’s entities across the world.

• Must be able to grasp business transactions, identify and implement the legal treatment

• Excellent drafting, negotiating and organizational skills

• Ability to analyze complex legal problems quickly and concisely

• Experience handling high volume of contract reviews, drafting and negotiation

• Experience handling corporate matters

• Demonstrable evidence of having worked in a role requiring extensive and continuous interaction with various internal and external stakeholders in delivery of objectives

• knowledge of corporate governance, legal and company secretarial matters

• Knowledge of and proven experience in the Middle East

• Proven experience in negotiating contract both with private and governmental clients

• Ability to deliver high-quality work under deadlines

• ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
