Job Summary

The BIM Engineer assists the Manager as a project team member, interacting with project owners, architects, engineers, contractors and subcontractors to develop and analyze the virtual construction process in order to maximize construction efficiency, job cost savings, as well as enhance project documentation and delivery.

Job Responsibilities 1

Define scopes of work, evaluatAttend and /or manage model coordination meetings and document project preconstruction / BIM meetingse site problems.

Coordinate models with internal and subcontractor detailers and modellers Record coordination sign offs.

Process shop drawing level models for approval.

Assist project team with construction coordination and scheduling.

Print drawing sets for team review.

Support Client to calculate quantities for material orders and crew work planning.

Prepare 3D models and dimension shop drawing sheets for field use and review.

Timely and accurate preparation of BIM models, shop drawings, etc.

Provide daily and weekly timesheets.

Job Knowledge & Skills

• Learning knowledge of AutoCAD MEP, Revit, and Navisworks.Excellent collaborative and organizational skills with the ability to communicate effectively.Ability to lead and train small teams.Able to perform all BIM Architect/Engineer responsibilities.

• ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Architecture
Professional Qualification in Construction Management or CAD PROGRAMMING
