Bar Manager
Job Summary
The Bar Manager oversees and manages all aspects of the bar area within a hospitality establishment, ensuring exceptional service, profitability, and compliance with regulations. They are responsible for leading and motivating bar staff, creating and updating beverage menus, managing inventory and costs, and maintaining the overall ambiance and cleanliness of the bar. Additionally, Bar Managers play a key role in developing and implementing marketing and promotional strategies to drive sales and enhance the guest experience. Ultimately, they strive to maximize revenue, uphold quality standards, and create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for guests.
Job Responsibilities 1
Oversee the daily operations of the bar area, including staffing, inventory management, and customer service, to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
Hire, train, and supervise bar staff, providing guidance, feedback, and support to ensure high performance and adherence to service standards.
Develop and maintain beverage menus, including cocktails, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic drinks, based on market trends, guest preferences, and profitability considerations.
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock rotation to minimize waste and ensure adequate supplies for ongoing operations.
Implement and enforce health, safety, and sanitation protocols to maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Create and execute marketing and promotional initiatives, such as happy hours, themed nights, and specialty drink offerings, to drive sales and attract guests.
Analyze sales data, track trends, and identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost savings, implementing strategies to maximize profitability.
Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, communication, and professional development among bar staff.
Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a prompt and professional manner, striving to resolve issues and enhance guest satisfaction.
Collaborate with other departments, such as kitchen, service, and management, to coordinate operations, address cross-functional issues, and ensure seamless guest experiences.

Job Knowledge & Skills
In-depth understanding of beverage operations, including knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, and cocktails, as well as trends and innovations in the industry.
Strong leadership and management abilities to effectively lead and motivate a team of bar staff, delegate tasks, and maintain a positive work environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers, staff, suppliers, and management, fostering relationships and resolving issues effectively.
Proficiency in bar management software, inventory control systems, and POS systems to track sales, monitor inventory levels, and analyze performance data.
Attention to detail and organizational skills to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously, such as scheduling, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.

Minimum 5 year(s) working experience, 3 year(s) relevant working experience, 2 year (s) GCC is a plus
