Job Summary

The Business Development Manager is responsible to ensure business growth through managing business development activities to strategize approaches, technical pre-qualifications and quotations for the competitive Tender projects. The role develops and grows Company's business development activities and revenue from new and existing market segments and channels. Recognizes new market segments and opportunities for business development, makes a calculation of returns and investment, and gains agreement for the investment, resources, and actions required for the developments.

Job Responsibilities 1

Contribute to development of strategy and take responsibility for delivering strategic objectives

Conduct research to understand the Business and project drivers of sectors, customers and potential opportunities

Identify new business opportunities and/or commercial partnerships.

Develop business development strategies and creates annual business development plans for relevant area to reach required business objectives and revenue.

Manage the overall management of all strategic and operational tendering activities.

Propose options to management regarding tender price/options margins to ensure that the management is supplied with market related information when deciding on setting competitive prices.

Provide market feedback to the BDD/COO regarding pre-qualifications and bids.

Job Responsibilities 2

Suggest to BDD/COO, approaches to drive increased bids wining to achieve the Company`s ambitious growth.

Prepare business development plans (and updates) identifying construction market trends in Qatar, and recommend short and long range plans, including opportunities that the organization should pursue.

Meet with clients and Joint Venture Partners to develop a strong business relationship.

Evaluate and qualify prospective clients and tenders to determine the go, no go decision of the organization tender.

Support the BDD Business Development Director to explore new markets and enhance organizations presence and market share.

Support the Estimation and Proposal Director Direct in the submission of

Coordinates with relevant business units and other key departments to ensure timely completion and submission of pre-qualification document.

Job Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge/experience of working in a commercial environment experience of networking to increase business

opportunities. Detailed knowledge of marketing and business development (strategic and tactical).Experience of

working within a target driven business. Knowledge of the principles and practices of management and

economic development procedures. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Word, Excel and Outlook.

ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.

Job Experience

Minimum 8 year(s) working experience, 5 year(s) relevant working experience, 2 year (s) GCC is a plus
