Job Summary
The CNC Programmer is responsible for quality programming of CNC machine tools. They work with operators and lead personnel and utilize Mastercam/personal training to produce precision, close tolerance parts. This positions plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
Job Responsibilities 1
Principal Accountabilities
- Modify and create programs
- Manages the setup of multiple machines for operator to run
- Performs quality assurance tests to ensure products meet design specifications
- Monitors all programs to make sure they follow blueprint instructions and safely and successfully complete the task
Job Responsibilities 2
- Program new parts using best practices. This includes entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches, calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.
- Prepares calculations for programming including where materials should be cut.
- Ensures to translates instructions into a computer automated manufacturing (CAM) program.
- Writes programs and modifies existing ones for increased efficiency.
- Analyzes and selects speeds and cutting tools for programs.
- Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs Help machinists troubleshoot problems with machines and/or production runs/
- Continuously strives to eliminate waste from processes.
- Ensure proper documentation of all systems and processes including documenting the parts run on CNCs.
- Create and maintain the tool list for CNCs and ensure accuracy at all times.
- Ensures to evaluates timely all completed designs to validate their functions and ensure they successfully reduce turn around time (TAT).
- Directs and monitors all programs to make sure they follow blueprint instructions and safely and successfully complete the task.

• Extensive experience CNC machine programmer
• Knowledge about the specification and standard operating procedures
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power point)
• Controls and Instrumentation
• Familiarity and skills with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints

• ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
