Certification Engineer

Job Summary

The Certification Engineer supports and manages certification and compliance processes across our construction projects in Kazakhstan. The role involves coordinating with local authorities and regulatory bodies to ensure that all construction activities, materials, and equipment meet national and international standards and legal requirements.

Job Responsibilities 1

Ensure construction projects and related activities comply with the technical standards and certification requirements of Kazakhstan’s legislation.

Manage the documentation process and ensure timely approvals from relevant Kazakhstani authorities, including:

GASK (State Architectural and Construction Control)

KAZNIISA (Kazakhstan Research and Design Institute of Construction and Architecture)

Committee for Industrial Development and Industrial Safety

Prepare, submit, and track technical passports, conformity certificates (сертификат соответствия), and declarations of conformity.

Coordinate with National Certification Centers, testing laboratories, and third-party inspection bodies.

Monitor changes in local regulatory frameworks (e.g., ST RK, SN RK, GOST), and ensure compliance across all current and future projects.

Review project documentation (design specifications, materials certificates, equipment passports) for conformity with local and international standards.

Liaise between the design, procurement, HSE, and construction departments to ensure all equipment and materials used on-site are properly certified.

Support project audits, inspections, and closeout processes by providing required certification and compliance documentation.

Maintain an up-to-date compliance and certification database for all projects.

Job Knowledge & Skills

Familiarity with international standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS/ISO 45001).

Experience in infrastructure, industrial, or large-scale civil construction projects.

Knowledge of technical due diligence and quality certification audits.

Ability to interpret and translate engineering drawings and technical documentation.

ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills 
are a requirement to be successful in this role

Job Experience

Minimum 5 years working experience, 3 years relevant working experience, 2 years GCC experience is a plus.
