Job Summary
Bridge Capital is seeking a Chief Accountant to lead financial close, general-ledger integrity, financial reporting, technical accounting, controls and audit readiness across Bridge Capital’s corporate, management-company and related entities. The role will be responsible for maintaining accurate and timely financial records across a multi-entity environment, applying IFRS and approved accounting policies, and providing reliable information to Finance, Investment and executive stakeholders. The Chief Accountant will combine rigorous accounting discipline with commercial awareness, strong systems capability and the judgment to operate effectively in an international alternative asset management platform.
Job Responsibilities 1
- Lead monthly, quarterly and annual financial close activities, including journals, accruals, prepayments, allocations, cut-off, account reconciliations and resolution of close exceptions.
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, chart of accounts, accounting calendars, close checklists and supporting documentation across Bridge Capital’s corporate, management-company and related entities.
- Own the preparation and consolidation of accurate financial statements, trial balances, schedules and management reporting packages in accordance with applicable accounting standards, approved Group policies and reporting timetables.
- Analyze balance-sheet and profit-and-loss movements, explain material variances and escalate unusual, unsupported or control-sensitive items to Finance leadership.
- Apply technical accounting guidance to complex and non-routine transactions and document conclusions on recognition, measurement, presentation and disclosure, coordinating with external advisers where appropriate.
- Oversee accounting integrity across payables, receivables, cash, bank accounts, expenses, fixed assets and related sub-ledgers, ensuring timely resolution of aging, suspense and clearing items.
- Manage intercompany balances, confirmations, classifications, eliminations and settlement support and prepare complete consolidation inputs and reporting packs.
- Design, operate and improve accounting controls covering journals, reconciliations, master data, close, reporting, access, segregation of duties and record retention.
- Partner with FP&A, Fund Control, Treasury, Tax, Investment, Legal and portfolio stakeholders to resolve accounting matters and maintain consistent financial information.

Job Knowledge & Skills
- Deep knowledge of IFRS, financial statements, general ledger, consolidation, intercompany accounting, internal controls, statutory reporting and audit requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to lead demanding close cycles, maintain audit-ready records, resolve complex accounting issues and deliver accurate reporting to fixed deadlines.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills, with the judgment and credibility to present accounting matters, control issues and recommendations to investment committees, boards, management teams and sophisticated external counterparties.
- Demonstrated ability to lead small teams, manage multiple workstreams and develop junior professionals in a high-performance environment.
Job Experience
- Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting and financial-reporting experience, including at least five years in a supervisory or management role.
- Experience within alternative asset management, private equity, investment management, financial services, infrastructure, a diversified holding company or a sophisticated multi-entity environment is strongly preferred.
- Cross-border experience and cultural fluency are strongly preferred. Professional fluency in Arabic, Spanish, French or another relevant language is a plus, but not a requirement.
- Willingness to travel internationally and, where required, relocate to a Bridge office in the United States or the Middle East.
