Chief Operating Officer
Job Summary
The Chief Operating Officer is responsible to set the Group's business unit's overall strategic direction for the operations as well as to monitor the performance of the operating business as well as the performance of each business unit to achieve targeted revenues and profit. The position serves as the link between the General Managers of the business units and the Group CEO / CEO, directly or indirectly coordinating operational, commercial, administrative and financial activities for best-in-class performance. The position is also majorly responsible and accountable for the Group's business unit's overall management and operations.
Job Responsibilities 1
Direct each business unit's financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize return on investments and thereby increase revenue and profit.
Responsible for reviewing budgeting and forecasting and acquire appropriate approvals from the Group CEO / CEO.
Manage brand relationships for optimum support in revenue generation and expense reduction. Negotiate contracts as needed.
Ensure current and future financial viability through strategic financial management.
Ensure safety and health standards are maintained eliminating work-related accidents and to promote a safety culture. Establish policies and procedures and create a culture to facilitate reduction in voluntary employee turnover.
Educate and lead best practices and introduces new operations processes, workflows, and tools to help goals achievement.
Demonstrate and ensure value by consistently providing exceptional services, while shaping a strategy to drives long-term engagement.
Job Responsibilities 2
Work with each business unit head to drive top line performance, optimize cost and profitability and ultimately achieve budgeted EBITDA and Net Profits.
Review all the operating results of each operating unit and compare them to established industry benchmark norms, objectives and goals, and follow-up to ensure appropriate corrective measures are taken.
Oversee the business unit heads operating departments for optimum efficiency.
Develop a marketing strategy with each business unit head and the marketing function that drives top line performance, builds loyalty and the frequency and quality of transactions.
Work with each support function head to develop strategies to support each business unit.
Produce consolidated high level executive reports, showing a clear picture of the entire portfolio, recommending the strategy, and highlighting all critical issues, recommending actions and measures.
Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies

Advanced delegation skills, with the ability to provide authority to work independently, set expectations and monitor delegated activities. Advanced strategic planning skills (long and short term).
ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
Job Experience
Minimum 15 year(s) working experience, 10 year(s) in a relevant management/leadership position, 5 year (s) GCC is a plus
