Job Summary

The Corporate Finance Director leads the financial strategies to support the country's strategic and operational objectives. The role directs the day-to-day financial activities, control financial resources and ensure that all financial transactions, systems and procedures comply with regulations, accounting principles, and standards.  The position maintains financial and accounting policies and plans, maintains financial and accounting systems, and provides overall management for the budgeting, grants/contract management and audit/tax reporting functions.

Job Responsibilities 1

Contribute to the development of group strategy across all business areas, challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate, and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets, and business drivers.

Prepare short and long-term financial forecasts of the Group’s financial performance for internal management and external parties, supporting strategic decision-making and growth initiatives.

Ensure accurate, transparent, and clear risk assessments on every investment, analyzing and classifying risks and investments to determine their potential impacts on the company.

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Finance team, ensuring effective workflow and supervision, and clearing obstacles to the process.

Oversee and check the finance and accounting team's daily activities, including payroll, VAT, cash flow management, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes, providing direction and assistance as needed.

Ensure an appropriate internal control framework is in place to safeguard the business, directing the operations of the Group Finance team and maintaining compliance with statutory and related accounting and tax regulations.

Oversee and lead annual budgeting and planning; administer and review all financial plans and budgets; monitor progress and changes, and keep the senior leadership team abreast of the organization’s financial status.

Implement a robust contracts management and financial management/reporting system, ensuring contract billing and collection schedules are adhered to, and financial data and cash flow support operational requirements.

Establish and implement a training program for new and existing employees to continuously develop competencies that support business requirements.

Establish a high level of credibility and manage strong working relationships with external parties, including customers and advisors.

Report the group financial performance to Management and the Board of Directors, including financial performance, projections, and special projects as required.

Provide financial advice and information to the Board, Chief Executive, senior management, managers, and external funders, acting as the leading interface between management and the Board on financial and corporate service matters to ensure clear and accurate communication of the financial position to all relevant stakeholders.

Direct the development and maintenance of appropriate accounting systems, controls, and records to ensure accurate and compliant financial transactions.

Lead and continuously develop/improve group financial processes to be as efficient and effective as possible within budget constraints, leveraging digital tools and technologies where appropriate.

Oversee the implementation and optimization of digital systems and technologies that enhance financial management, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.

Comprehensive knowledge of financial management principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements to effectively oversee the organization's financial activities.

Strong analytical skills are essential for interpreting financial data, conducting financial analysis, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making and performance evaluation.

Excellent leadership and communication skills are necessary for leading the finance team, collaborating with other departments, and communicating financial information to stakeholders, including investors, board members, and senior management.

Experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting is crucial for developing strategic financial plans, setting targets, and ensuring financial stability and growth.

Knowledge of risk management practices and the ability to assess and mitigate financial risks are vital for safeguarding the organization's assets and optimizing its financial performance.

ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.

Job Experience

Minimum 10 year(s) working experience, 8 year(s) in a relevant supervisory position, 2 year (s) GCC is a plus

Education

Master's degree in any related field
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Pubic Administration or business administration, and other related field or any related field
