Job Summary

    The Cost Controller handles the cost accounting functions within an organization, ensuring accurate tracking, analysis, and control of costs to support effective decision-making and financial performance. They are responsible for monitoring and analyzing costs across various departments and projects, identifying areas for cost reduction, efficiency improvement, and profitability enhancement. Additionally, Cost Controllers play a key role in developing and implementing cost accounting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. They also collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and procurement, to gather relevant data and insights for cost analysis and reporting.

Job Responsibilities 1

    Understand all relevant project documents relating to the cost Management of allocated project(s) and provides feedback during the budget approval process. Issue suitable direction to subordinate staff to ensure they have a clear idea of what is required.

    Support site Commercial Managers with Budget Transfer information.

    Review, report and propose where required Budget (due to missing Items or Miscalculations in the budget) adjustments.

    Direct the compilation of the CCS accounts for every project audit to ensure correct information is passed to the site.

    Develop a regime of constant monitoring for the information produced by the cost control system.

    Ensure that Projects monthly verification of Stock available at the site and reported to Commercial Director.

    Prepare monthly reports on PC, SRV, SIV, and reallocation as needed for all projects.

    Complete regular reviews of the cost reporting mechanism to ensure that it is robust and to best practice standards.

    Review cost control managers' site visit reports and support site visits where required. These site visits are to provide feedback and cost control feedback to the site commercial managers and cost control representatives at least once a month to verify the progress measurements.

    Submit monthly report for after coordination with site commercial managers the verified information into the ERP system of each project (this includes a monthly cost report meeting with the site management team.

    Produce the Monthly Company projects Job Cost Report within 10 Days from the end of the month.

    Assist in the Production of the Monthly Company Cost Report and achieve it within 15 days from the end of the month.

Job Knowledge & Skills

possess comprehensive knowledge of cost accounting principles, techniques, and methodologies to accurately track and analyze costs across various business functions.

Strong analytical skills are essential for interpreting cost data, identifying trends, variances, and cost drivers, and making data-driven recommendations for cost optimization.

Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems enables efficient management and analysis of cost data, as well as generation of accurate cost reports and forecasts.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are vital for effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams, presenting cost analysis findings, and providing recommendations to stakeholders.

Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis enhances the Cost Controller's ability to support decision-making processes and drive cost management initiatives within the organization.

ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.

Job Experience

Minimum 5 year(s) working experience, 3 year(s) relevant working experience, 2 year (s) GCC is a plus

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Pubic Administration or business administration, and other related field
