Dispatcher
Job Summary
The Dispatcher is responsible for the safe, timely, and professional delivery of catering orders, food items, equipment, and supplies to designated locations. The role ensures that products are transported under proper food safety conditions, delivered accurately, and set up according to customer requirements. This position plays a key role in ensuring service quality and customer satisfaction while maintaining high standards of safety and vehicle care.
Job Responsibilities 1
Delivery & Logistics
Safely operate company vehicles for transporting food, beverages, catering equipment, and supplies.
Ensure timely pickup and delivery of catering orders to clients, event venues, or internal departments.
Verify order accuracy before departure and upon delivery.
Assist with loading and unloading of catering items, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
Set up catering arrangements onsite when required (tables, chafing dishes, beverage stations, etc.).
Food Safety & Hygiene
Maintain appropriate temperature control and safe storage conditions during transport.
Comply with food handling standards, hygiene protocols, and company safety guidelines.
Ensure delivery containers, vehicles, and equipment remain clean and organized.
Vehicle Operation & Maintenance
Conduct daily vehicle inspections (fuel, oil, tires, lights, refrigeration systems if applicable).
Report vehicle issues promptly and coordinate maintenance schedules with the transport department.
Keep assigned vehicle clean, presentable, and well-maintained.
Customer Service
Provide professional, courteous service to customers and event staff upon delivery.
Communicate effectively regarding delivery times, setup preferences, or special instructions.
Resolve or escalate delivery-related concerns promptly.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and order logs.
Obtain required signatures for delivered items.
Report delays, incidents, or service issues to supervisors immediately.
Teamwork & Support
Assist catering staff with packing, organizing, and preparing delivery orders.
Support event setup or breakdown as needed.
Participate in training, safety meetings, and operational briefings.

Minimum 1 year working experience/relevant experience
