Job Summary

    The Doctor directs the administration of activities in the Company's HSE which includes formulation of the needed policies and procedures, compliance of the reports required by the Ministry of Health, preparation of medical reports for the Company’s records and facilitate employees’ medical needs such as administration of emergency treatment and supporting the HSE team.

Job Responsibilities 1

    Conduct medical examinations, assessments, and screenings for employees to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and identify potential risks or hazards.

    Provide medical advice and guidance to employees and management on occupational health issues, including workplace hazards, ergonomics, and personal protective equipment.

    Collaborate with HSE teams to develop and implement health and safety policies, procedures, and training programs to promote employee well-being and prevent accidents or injuries.

    Conduct health risk assessments and evaluations of workplace environments to identify and mitigate health hazards, such as exposure to chemicals, noise, or radiation.

    Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid treatment, CPR, or other medical interventions as necessary to ensure prompt and effective care for injured or ill employees.

    Monitor and analyze health and safety data, including injury and illness reports, to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement in HSE practices and protocols.

    Participate in incident investigations to determine root causes of accidents or near misses and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

    Conduct health promotion and wellness initiatives, such as vaccination programs, health screenings, and ergonomic assessments, to support employee health and productivity.

    Maintain medical records, documentation, and confidentiality in compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices in healthcare and HSE management.

    Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to occupational health and safety, attending training programs and continuing education to enhance knowledge and skills.

Job Knowledge & Skills

Comprehensive understanding of occupational health and safety regulations and practices.

Proficiency in diagnosing and treating occupational injuries and illnesses.

Ability to conduct medical evaluations and assessments to ensure employee health and fitness for work.

Knowledge of preventive medicine and wellness programs to promote employee health and reduce workplace hazards.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with HSE professionals and advise on medical issues affecting workplace safety.

ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.

Job Experience

Minimum 8 year(s) working experience, 5 year(s) relevant working experience, 2 year (s) GCC is a plus
