Laboratory Technician - Health Care
Job Summary
Laboratory Technicians work under the supervision of a medical technologist or physician to perform tests that help physicians diagnose and treat diseases. Lab technicians prepare samples for analysis, use equipment to locate microorganisms, monitor tests and procedures, analyze the chemical content of fluids, match blood for transfusions, and test for drug levels in the blood.
Job Responsibilities 1
Extraction blood from the patients for testing.
Preparing the samples for processing.
Process the samples according to laboratory standard operating procedures.
Entering the results in the system.
Deliver the results of the testing.
Conduct the swab test for Covid 19 tests.
Preparing copies of results for each clinic.
Organize the documentations and filing of the Lab.
Record patient's data in the lab book as per the Clinic standard.
Answer the telephone and querries with regards to the lab.

Job Knowledge & Skills
• High level of attention to detail.Strong communication and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and within a team environment.Ability to educate patients and families on health issues.Exceptional bedside manner.Working experience operating electrical and non-electrical laboratory equipment.Comfortable handling potentially dangerous substances (flammable liquids, biohazards, etc.).In depth knowledge of QHSE management systems, preventative measures, and laboratory best practices.Working knowledge of MS Office Suite and database systems.Ability to work autonomously and under pressure.Superb dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
