Job Summary

The ESG and Sustainability Reporting Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end process of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) disclosures and integrating sustainability into the core of the business strategy. The role will drive the development, implementation, and communication of ESG initiatives, ensuring accuracy, credibility, and alignment with corporate objectives. Acting as the central hub for ESG data, the position translates complex information into clear and compelling reports that meet the requirements of investors, rating agencies, regulators, customers, and internal stakeholders. The role will manage ESG risks, identify opportunities, and support investment decision-making by quantifying ESG factors. This position requires expertise in international reporting frameworks (GRI, SASB, TCFD, CDP), strong data integrity management, and the ability to craft impactful sustainability narratives that enhance corporate reputation and stakeholder confidence.

Job Responsibilities 1

Lead Project Management: Develop and implement the company’s ESG strategy aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements. Develop annual integrated or standalone Sustainability Report, from scoping and content planning to writing, design, publication, and distribution. Oversee the collection, validation, and analysis of ESG data from across the organization (e.g., energy consumption, waste, water, employee demographics, supply chain practices)

Ensure Application of Frameworks: Expertly apply relevant sustainability reporting standards and frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD/TNFD, IFRS S1 & S2) to our disclosures. Lead the preparation and publication of the annual Sustainability/ESG Report in accordance with leading frameworks.

Questionnaire & Ratings Management: Serve as the primary owner for completing major ESG questionnaires (e.g., CDP) and managing relationships with ESG rating agencies (e.g., MSCI, Sustainalytics, S&P). Develop strategies to improve our scores and rankings.

Regulatory Compliance: Monitor the evolving global regulatory landscape (e.g., QSE Standards) and ensure our reporting processes are designed for compliance.

Oversee the ESG Data Collection Process: Develop and maintain a robust process for gathering environmental (Scope 1, 2, 3 GHG), social, and governance data from internal sources (Operations, HR, EHS, Supply Chain, Legal).

Implement Data Controls: Establish and manage an internal controls environment for ESG data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and audit-readiness. Work closely with Internal Audit and Finance teams.

Manage ESG Systems: Administer and leverage ESG data management to streamline data collection, validation, and reporting. Develop and execute a comprehensive, multi-year ESG strategy aligned with the company's business goals and values. Lead ESG audits and support third-party ESG assessments.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with subject matter experts across the company (EHS, HR, Legal, Supply Chain, Finance, Investor Relations) to gather accurate information and ensure report content is verified.

Internal Education: Train and guide internal teams on reporting requirements and data submission protocols.

External Narrative: Craft a compelling and authentic sustainability narrative for the report, website, investor presentations, and other communication materials.

Investor Relations Support: Provide ESG data and analysis to support the Investor Relations team in responding to investor inquiries and presentations.

Benchmarking: Conduct regular benchmarking against peer reports and industry best practices to ensure our reporting remains best-in-class.

Process Improvement: Continuously seek to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of the reporting process. Conduct due diligence on environmental and social risks for investments, new projects, and guarantee portfolios

Materiality Assessment: Support the periodic refresh of the double materiality assessment or materiality analysis to ensure reporting focuses on the most critical topics.

Lead specific ESG projects: Conducting a carbon footprint assessment, developing a green financing framework, or launching an employee volunteer program. Manage budgets, timelines, and resources for ESG initiatives.

Monitor and assess ESG-related risks and opportunities: integrating them into the company’s enterprise risk management process. Manage ESG risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies and quantify the ESG Risks and integrate the ESG quantification into the Project Investment decision making process

Track and report ESG performance metrics: Support the Board and executive leadership on ESG governance structure and oversight and establish KPIs and monitor ongoing ESG performance regularly to senior management and board.

Job Knowledge & Skills

ESG Knowledge: Deep, practical understanding of ESG frameworks (GRI, SASB, TCFD, QSE), standards, and regulatory landscapes.

Data Proficiency: Strong analytical skills with experience in data collection, management, and analysis. High proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.

Project Management: Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects from conception to completion.

Communication Skills: The ability to craft clear, credible, and influential reports and presentations and stakeholder engagement skills

Collaboration: Demonstrated success in building relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels of an organization without direct authority.

Excellent Analytical Skills: The ability to interpret complex ESG data and translate it into actionable insights. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities

Job Experience

Minimum 8 years working experience, 5 years in a relevant supervisory position, 2 years GCC experience is a plus

Education

Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Pubic Administration or business administration, and other related field or any related field
