Job Summary

    The Electrical Supervisor performs the technical work supervising and scheduling the maintenance and repair of a variety of electrical equipment in the project buildings.

Job Responsibilities 1

    Supervise electrical installation, maintenance, and repair activities on construction sites or in facilities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

    Manage a team of electricians and technicians, providing guidance, direction, and support to ensure work is completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard of quality.

    Develop and implement work schedules, task assignments, and project timelines, coordinating with other trades and project managers to ensure timely completion of electrical work within budgetary constraints.

    Conduct quality inspections and audits of electrical installations and equipment, identifying deficiencies, deviations from standards, and opportunities for improvement, and implementing corrective actions as necessary.

    Coordinate the procurement, storage, and inventory management of electrical materials, tools, and equipment, ensuring adequate supply, proper storage, and compliance with project specifications.

    Provide technical expertise and support to electricians and technicians, troubleshooting complex electrical issues, interpreting technical drawings and specifications, and recommending solutions to ensure effective problem resolution.

    Enforce safety protocols, procedures, and regulations on-site, conducting safety inspections, promoting safe work practices, and addressing safety concerns to prevent accidents, injuries, and property damage.

    Maintain accurate records of electrical work, including work orders, inspections, test reports, and equipment maintenance logs, and generate reports to track progress, document issues, and communicate status to stakeholders.

    Coordinate electrical work with other trades, contractors, and stakeholders involved in MEP projects, ensuring proper sequencing, integration, and coordination of electrical systems with mechanical, plumbing, and other building systems.

    Provide training, mentoring, and professional development opportunities to electricians and technicians, promoting skill development, knowledge enhancement, and career advancement within the electrical team.

Job Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of the standard practices, tools and terminology of the electrical trade.

• Knowledge of electrical theory.

• Knowledge of the safety hazards of the work and of the necessary safety precautions.

• ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
