Electrical Technical Manager
Job Summary
The Electrical Technical Manager is responsible for work on complex technical projects, and is expected to manage multiple projects and work streams concurrently. In addition, the Electrical Technical Manager have responsibility for review of the work of Lead Technical Engineers and overseeing the Technical Team. This position ensures that detailed technical investigation, design, optimization is secured and that proper liaison is maintained with statutory authorities, and that all necessary documentation and drawings are produced to maximize efficiency and optimize technical excellence.
Job Responsibilities 1
Lead the electrical engineering team, providing mentorship, technical guidance, and workload management to ensure efficient project execution.
Support technical strategies to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and technical excellence while exceeding customer expectations.
Oversee the design and execution of electrical systems (power distribution, lighting, earthing, controls, LV systems), ensuring alignment with project requirements, budgets, and timelines.
Collaborate with mechanical, ELV, civil, and other disciplines to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into overall project designs.
Develop and enforce quality control processes, conduct site inspections, and ensure adherence to industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Select and evaluate electrical equipment and materials, negotiate vendor contracts, and approve technical submittals from suppliers and contractors.
Oversee system commissioning, documentation, and client handover, ensuring electrical systems meet performance expectations and operate as designed.
Implement safety assessments, risk mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Monitor electrical project costs, prevent overruns, and recommend cost-saving measures through design optimizations and material selection.
Stay updated on industry trends, propose innovative solutions, encourage new technologies, and effectively communicate progress with clients and stakeholders.

Job Knowledge & Skills
Strong practical experience with the ability to prepare detailed method statements.
Advanced Knowledge of engineering principles, techniques, policies, and procedures.
Excellent knowledge of material engineering properties and local/global availability of materials.
Excellent technical skills and ability to organize and oversee the preparation of technical drawings.
Knowledge of Project Management.
ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
Job Experience
Minimum 8 years working experience, 5 years in a relevant supervisory position, 2 years GCC experience is a plus.
