Job Summary

The Environmental Engineer adheres to best industry practices, both in terms of result and effectiveness, in order to identifies and distributes information on environmental programs that incorporate sustainable development. Encourages projects to apply environment principles and participate in sustainable development programs and activities at local, regional, and international levels; and keeps abreast of international developments that can contribute to environmental best practices.

Job Responsibilities 1

Responsible for all environmental matters for project, yard and facility based on assignment, including developing environmental requirements.

Implements Environment Management Plan (EMP) and supports development of project HSE strategy, often would be responsible for section or/and project.

Identify and distribute information on environmental programs that incorporate sustainable development.

Monitor the impact of the operation on the natural environment, identify areas of risk and develop adaptive management strategies to mitigate impacts.

Conducts Environment Aspects and Impacts Analysis for all working sites.

Adoptability of appropriate suggestions and recommendations to be enacted for the positive enhancement of the environment.

Job Responsibilities 2

Ensures that the negative and significant impacts of the project activities should be limited, reduced and controlled to bring about the positive changes.

The continual improvement will be examined and kept intact by continuous monitoring, checking and evaluating the existing operational process of the system.

Recommends all the environment positive enhancement tools for air, water, land,noise, dust, waste, processes etc. and  accordingly will be discussed, planned,suggested, implemented and evaluated for operations.

• Knowledge of Environmental Management set of systems and standards.Basic knowledge of chemistry.Technical expertise knowledge for various environmental issues.Knowledge of relevant legislation and the consenting process.Knowledge of local laws and legislative processes related to the work.Knowledge of the scientific principles relative to environmental controlNEBOSH CertifiedIEMA CertifiedIOSH MS CertifiedCOSHH Certified Environmental Awareness

• ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.

Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Management
Profesional degree in MMUP Engineer Registration (UPDA)
