Estimation and Project Coordination Director
Job Summary
The Estimation and Project coordination Director is responsible for providing expert oversight in the estimation phase of complex and mega construction Tenders and takes an active role in dealing with intricate tenders. With a strong background in project execution, this role ensures that cost estimates are fully aligned with practical, on-site execution strategies. Plays a critical role in developing the expertise required to manage and coordinate complex tenders. The position is essential for facilitating communication, managing data, and ensuring smooth transitions from project estimation to operations, with an emphasis on managing high-stakes, large-scale and complex Tender processes.
Job Responsibilities 1
Contribute to the technical aspects of project estimation with a focus on practical execution, ensuring that all estimates are grounded in real-world and UpToDate construction methodologies.
Participate in detailed technical reviews of tender documents and specifications to ensure comprehensive coverage of all cost drivers.
Collaborate with the tender team to analyze project requirements and develop winning strategies, ensuring compliance with client specifications and regulations.
Participate in technical reviews of project designs, specifications, and construction methodologies to ensure accurate and achievable estimates.
Ensure that project cost estimates take into account execution challenges, potential risks, and resource limitations, providing mitigation strategies as necessary.
Assist in developing project estimates by providing operational input to align cost and resource planning with project needs.
Take responsibility for coordinating and managing complex tenders, ensuring that estimates and operational capabilities are accurately reflected in tender submissions.
Serve as a bridge between the estimation and operations teams, ensuring clear and effective communication.
Job Responsibilities 2
Ensure that all technical aspects of the project, from resource planning to scheduling, are feasible and aligned with the company’s execution capabilities.
Provide constructability oversight during the transition from estimation to execution, ensuring that on-site operations match estimated plans and budgets.
Work with project managers and site engineers at the early stages of the Project to resolve any technical discrepancies between the estimated and the actual execution plan of the project.
Facilitate ongoing communication between estimation, technical, and operations teams to ensure smooth handover, particularly during the transition from Tendering to execution.
Provide input into process improvement initiatives related to estimation and operations coordination
Support post-project reviews to compare estimates to the actual project execution plan and identify areas for improvement in both estimation and technical performance.
Oversee the integration of technical data into estimation models, ensuring a strong connection between the theoretical estimate and practical execution.
Prepare technical reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key execution strategies and how they align with initial estimates.
Continuously refine estimation processes to incorporate the latest execution methodologies, technologies, and best practices in construction.
