Job Summary

The Expeditor is responsible for overseeing and managing the expediting process for the timely delivery of materials and equipment for the EPC oil and gas projects. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure that all materials and services are delivered according to project requirements and deadlines.

Job Responsibilities 1

Expedite and monitor the progress of purchase orders and deliverables from vendors, ensuring timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services.

Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and project management teams to ensure project requirements are met without delay.

Track and update the status of expediting activities, including vendor performance, delivery schedules, and any potential issues.

Communicate with suppliers to address any delays or issues and implement corrective actions to avoid impact on the project schedule.

Review material requisitions, purchase orders, and shipping documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.

Liaise with the construction and engineering teams to confirm technical specifications and delivery timelines for materials and equipment.

Prepare and maintain detailed reports on the status of materials, deliveries, and expediting activities.

Work closely with the logistics team to manage transportation and delivery schedules for materials and equipment to the project site.

Resolve discrepancies and issues related to shipments, ensuring timely resolution to avoid project delays.

Maintain effective communication with suppliers, ensuring that they are fully aware of project timelines and requirements.

Job Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong knowledge of expediting processes in the EPC Oil & Gas industry.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with Exceptional leadership, supervisory, and team management skills and the ability to manage relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Good understanding of procurement and supply chain management tools and software (e.g., SAP).
  • Understanding of contractual terms and conditions as they relate to supporting expediting activities.
  • ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.

Job Experience

Minimum 5 years working experience, 3 years relevant working experience, 2 years GCC experience is a plus.

Education
