Job Summary
The HSE Director develops and implements the Company HSE programs and initiatives to meet regulatory requirements. Evaluates new and existing programs to assess suitability and the needs for changes. This position drives organizational safety culture and quality management system to promote high standards of performance. Promotes a learning culture within the organization to reduce HSE risks and ensure a safe and compliant work environment for employees.
Job Responsibilities 1
Design and execute short term, medium term and long terms HSE Strategy that aligns with the organization strategic objectives.
Provide leadership, vision, and commitment to build and enhance the HSE control within the organization.
Work directly with Senior management to establish a culture of prevention, protection, and compliance that is driver through effective leadership and accountability.
Develop the HSE Strategy of short term, medium term and long term for achievement of Company objectives.
Ensure that the Company’s HSE Management System supports the delivery of Regulatory Compliance.
Plan, monitor and manage execution of HSE activities on a project as per the HSE plan and HSEMS requirements to ensure HSE requirements are met and systems are followed effectively.
Provide leadership to initiate, foster and maintain HSE standards and goals through Company and/or project wide HSE programs to heighten awareness and promote a safe and productive work environment across the organization.
Manage internal and external relationships for effective and efficient achievement of HSE goals.
Provide leadership, ongoing guidance and support and motivate the HSE team.
Lead the development and implementation of HSE programs, including project site-based HSE Orientation, recognition and awards programs, to all levels project staff to promote a balance between productivity and safety in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Manage the monitoring of HSE metrics in order to provides recommendation to HSE management when necessary to meet organization HSE Standards and goals.
Run gap analysis to identify and address program gaps that may occur between Company practices, client requirements to ensure compliance in the regulatory requirements.
Oversee the development of approaches and solutions to HSE-related issues including managing investigations and reporting of incidents/accidents and near-missed, summarization of findings and recommendation of strategies to prevent recurrences.

Job Knowledge & Skills
In-depth understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations, standards, and best practices.
Strong leadership and strategic planning abilities to develop and implement HSE programs and initiatives.
Proficiency in risk assessment, incident investigation, and emergency response management.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to engage with internal teams, regulatory agencies, and external stakeholders.
Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify trends, assess performance metrics, and drive continuous improvement in HSE performance.
ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role
Job Experience
Minimum 8 years working experience, 5 years in a relevant supervisory position, 2 years GCC experience is a plus
