Job Summary

The HSE Inspector performs execution of Safety Practices and procedures which includes implementation of PHS, CEMP plans, accomplishing task analysis, evaluation of hazardous conditions, recommendation of control measures, and investigation of accidents/incident, implementation of training programs and safeguard execution of work to ensure a safe working environment.  Assists Project HSE Manager / HSE Engineer in health and safety management and its necessity.

Job Responsibilities 1

Ensures active monitoring approach is undertaken and all project, yard, and facility area    inspected in a timely manner and when necessary.

Ensures daily report is issued to the responsible person with a request for remedial actions.

Provides ground consultation and advise to the construction team.

Provides adequate relevant training programme to project, yard and facility team members.

Plans, monitors and manages execution of HSE activities on a project as per the HSE plan and IMS requirements to ensure HSE requirements are met and system are followed effectively.

Carry outs monthly HSE inspections for project sites and recording findings on time to design relevant improvement action plans.

Plans and implements HSE audits for sub-contractors on quarterly basis.

Prepares the HSE monthly monitoring program and ensure the implementation.

Job Responsibilities 2

Reviews and monitors timely reporting of project HSE performance and ensure achievement of HSE goals in project.

Records and analyzes HSE project performance on a daily basis or minimum on weekly basis and maintain the HSE report.

Prepares Project HSE monthly and weekly report.

Coordinates and manages internal and external relationship for effective and efficient achievement of HSE goals.

Conducts educative and informative meetings, tool box talks on a daily, and weekly or need basis to promote and achieve the HSE target.

Ensure weekly supervisor tour is carried out 100% .

Conducts regular worksite inspections and audits, makes assessments, reviews and evaluates Occupational Health and Safety Programs, and provides recommendations to improve the internal responsibility system within the workplace.

Investigates and uses professional judgement to issue and document notice-of-danger at worksites and rule on right to refuse work cases in accordance with the legislation.

Job Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of all relevant safety regulations, procedures and instructions.Knowledge in Qatar and International Standards.Knowledge in integrated management system.Accident Investigation Certification, Scaffolding, Fire Safety, and Rigging.NEBOSH Certificate/ NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent ( NCFE IOSH Level 3 Certificate in Safety and Health for Business, Level 3 Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health).Certified/ association Fire Safety/ Engineering from a recognized institution.Audit Qualifications45001 and EMS 14001.Demonstrated knowledge of investigation principles and procedures.

• ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or any related field
Certificate in NEBOSH or any Related Technical Certificates
