Job Summary

    The HSE Officer assists to perform execution of safety practices and procedures which includes implementation of Project HSE plan, accomplishing task analysis, evaluation of hazardous and risk conditions, recommendation of control measures, and investigation of accidents/incident, implementation of training programs and safeguard execution of work to ensure a safe working environment.

Job Responsibilities 1

    Monitor the execution of HSE activities on a project to ensure HSE requirements are met as per the project HSE plan and HSEMS requirement, continually monitor site activity with regards to HSE.

    Assist in developing and implementing field location emergency response procedures and evacuation plans to ensure safe evacuation procedures.

    Provide trainings to workers on HSE related subjects in incident prevention, first aid as well as other activities and safety awareness programs to increase awareness of HSE practices and procedures.

    Ensure that existing hazards, unsafe work conditions and /or practices are identified on a daily basis and observation reports are raised and corrective measures are recorded.

    Ensure to address and report violation on daily basis and make necessary recommendations.

    Provide data on daily, weekly and monthly reports to monitor and track HSE performance.

    Orient employees with accident reporting procedures and how to act in case of emergencies on monthly basis. Conduct daily tool box talk (TBT) to notify safety precautionary measure prior deployment of work at site.

    Ensure that 100 % of employees had passed site induction training before commencing the work.

    Ensure visitor supplier and project personnel induction program is effective and implemented and daily logs are maintained.

    Ensure that written risk assessment has been developed for each task prior to the start of work.

    Ensure that risk assessments findings and recommendations had been communicated to all concerned personnel on daily basis.

    Ensure all project certified mobile plant and gears, HSE equipment such as harness etc. are inspected on daily basis and log updated on monthly basis.

    Ensure that fire extinguishers are inspected on monthly basis and logs are maintained.

    Ensure all the equipment, ladders, hand tools, machineries etc. at site are inspected on daily basis by the authorized person and logs are maintained.

Job Knowledge & Skills

Comprehensive understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards relevant to the industry, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws.

Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential health, safety, and environmental risks in the workplace and develop effective mitigation strategies.

Ability to investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes, analyze contributing factors, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence and improve safety performance.

Skill in developing and delivering HSE training programs and initiatives to employees, contractors, and other stakeholders, promoting awareness and fostering a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.

Effective communication skills to liaise with management, employees, regulatory agencies, and external stakeholders, conveying HSE policies, procedures, and initiatives clearly and persuasively.

ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.

Job Experience

Minimum 5 year(s) working experience, 3 year(s) relevant working experience, 2 year (s) GCC is a plus

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering
Diploma in NEBOSH or any Related Technical Certificates
