Job Summary
To work with health care-related software and information technology (IT) and contribute to the evidence base of public health by helping project teams gain insight into their data to enhance health impact.
Job Responsibilities 1
Provide clinical subject matter expertise throughout the design, planning, and roll-out phases of new and updated technologies
Ensure software or IT solutions meet user needs
Provide technical assistance to field projects implementing digital health solutions that support a wide range of interventions
Serve as liaison for one or more projects to identify project support needs, coordinate technical inputs and ensure consistently high quality of work in this domain
Follow standards (such as HL7 and DICOM) to ensure electronic health information systems are compatible.
Support system interoperability by mapping integration routes
Provide technical support to projects for survey design, testing and statistical analysis (including techniques such as machine learning and artificial intelligence).

Advise and train senior hospital management, physicians, and other health care workers
Provide information to assist in sound decision making
Identify, understand, and document required concepts and clinical care processes
Develop, customize, and test software or IT
Respond to requests for patient information
Maintain privacy and confidentiality of patient information
Administer the health information system database
Develop education and training procedures

Job Knowledge & Skills
• Strong Knowledge of the IT industry Direct experience managing different modules of electronic medical record systems and other clinical applications. Direct experience with supply chain applications in acute healthcare context. Direct experience with revenue cycle management in acute healthcare context. Understanding of HL7 and DICOM communication Protocols.Excellent technical, analytical, and project management skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Good leadership and motivational skills.Experience in modelling and graphic representations.
• ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
Job Experience
Minimum 8 years of experience in healthcare applications; four of which as FTE in an operating impatient facility (required)
