Job Summary

    The Heavy Auto Supervisor organizes the work of the mechanics to ensure that the set workshop processes are followed so that the work flow, quality standards, profit and customer satisfaction index is maintained. This position also leads on the implementation of health and safety policy systems and procedures.

Job Responsibilities 1

Supervise the maintenance, repair, and operation of heavy vehicles and equipment, including trucks, loaders, excavators, and bulldozers, to ensure optimal performance and availability.

Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures for heavy vehicles and equipment, coordinating with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

Provide technical expertise and support to maintenance teams, troubleshooting complex issues, diagnosing equipment failures, and recommending solutions to ensure timely repairs and maintenance.

Enforce safety protocols, procedures, and regulations in the operation and maintenance of heavy vehicles and equipment, conducting safety inspections and implementing corrective actions to prevent accidents and injuries.

Provide training, mentoring, and development opportunities to vehicle operators and maintenance technicians, promoting skill development, knowledge enhancement, and adherence to best practices.

Manage inventory levels of spare parts, tools, and consumables for heavy vehicles and equipment, ensuring adequate supply, proper storage, and timely procurement to support maintenance activities.

Monitor and manage budgetary allocations for vehicle maintenance and repair operations, tracking expenses, analyzing costs, and implementing cost-saving measures to optimize resource utilization.

Monitor the performance and condition of heavy vehicles and equipment, collecting data on fuel consumption, uptime, downtime, and maintenance costs to assess efficiency and identify areas for improvement.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, licensing, and registration for heavy vehicles and equipment, maintaining accurate records and documentation to demonstrate compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

Liaise with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to understand their requirements, address concerns, and provide updates on vehicle availability, performance, and maintenance activities.

Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies

Job Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of maintenance repair and operation of heavy vehicles. Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, users, repair and maintenance.

Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures and strategies to promote effective local state or national security operations for the protection of people, data and institutions

Knowledge of construction procedure and equipment€™knowledge of the Company project and project safety programs.

ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.

Job Experience

Minimum 5 year(s) working experience, 3 year(s) relevant working experience, 2 year (s) GCC is a plus
