Job Summary

    The IT Infrastructure Manager manages the implementation and maintenance of an organization's IT infrastructure to ensure its reliability, availability, and scalability. They are responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, and data centers. Additionally, they lead the design and deployment of new infrastructure solutions to support business growth and innovation. The IT Infrastructure Manager collaborates with IT teams, vendors, and business units to define infrastructure requirements, develop strategies, and implement solutions that meet the organization's needs. They also manage budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Job Responsibilities 1

    Develop and implement IT infrastructure strategies, plans, and roadmaps in alignment with the organization's business objectives and technology goals.

    Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks, to ensure high availability and reliability.

    Manage the deployment and maintenance of server infrastructure, virtualization technologies, and cloud services to support business applications and services.

    Lead the administration and maintenance of storage infrastructure, backup and disaster recovery solutions, and data management practices to ensure data integrity and availability.

    Monitor IT infrastructure performance, capacity, and security, and proactively identify and address issues to minimize downtime and disruptions.

    Collaborate with IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to assess infrastructure requirements, evaluate technology options, and make recommendations for infrastructure investments and upgrades.

    Develop and enforce IT infrastructure policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

    Provide leadership and guidance to infrastructure teams, including hiring, training, and performance management, to build a high-performing and motivated team.

    Manage budgets, resources, and timelines for infrastructure projects and initiatives, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

    Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in IT infrastructure, and make recommendations for continuous improvement and innovation.

Job Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of IT infrastructure principles, architectures, and technologies, including networking, servers, storage, and virtualization.

Proficiency in infrastructure design, implementation, and maintenance methodologies, with hands-on experience in deploying and managing enterprise-scale infrastructure solutions.

Knowledge of industry best practices and standards in IT infrastructure management, such as ITIL, COBIT, and ISO 20000.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure issues efficiently.

Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver reliable and scalable infrastructure solutions.

ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.

Job Experience

Minimum 8 years working experience, 5 years in a relevant supervisory position, 2 years GCC experience is a plus
