Job Summary

The Industrial Process Manager oversees the planning, design, integration, and optimization of industrial process systems across Projects.

The role ensures all process designs are technically sound, cost-effective, constructible, and aligned with project execution strategies. It bridges the engineering and construction disciplines to deliver safe, efficient, and sustainable process systems that meet operational and performance objectives.

Job Responsibilities 1

Process Design Management: Lead the definition of process design criteria, system architecture, and technical documentation (PFDs, P&IDs, process datasheets).

Multidiscipline Coordination: Interface with civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and construction teams to ensure design alignment and constructability.

Design Review & Validation: Oversee design deliverables from consultants or internal teams to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and project requirements.

Process Optimization: Drive improvements in plant performance, energy efficiency, and operational safety through data-driven design and field feedback.

Safety & Environmental Compliance: Ensure adherence to HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, and environmental management standards.

Procurement Support: Provide technical input for process equipment selection, vendor evaluation, and technical bid analysis.

Construction Interface: Collaborate with site teams to resolve design issues, support field modifications, and ensure smooth handover to commissioning.

Commissioning & Start-Up: Support pre-commissioning and performance testing, ensuring process systems meet design intent and contractual KPIs.

Innovation & Technology: Evaluate and implement modern process technologies and automation to enhance project efficiency and reliability.

Team Development: Mentor process engineers and coordinate knowledge transfer within project and corporate engineering teams.

Job Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in industrial process design and operation across EPC and construction projects (oil & gas, utilities, energy, manufacturing).

Strong understanding of construction execution methods and their interface with process design.

Proficiency in process simulation tools (Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II, or equivalent).

Knowledge of HAZOP, HAZID, and process safety standards.

Solid grounding in international codes and standards (API, ASME, ISO, IEC).

Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder coordination skills.

ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role

Job Experience

Minimum 8 years working experience, 5 years in a relevant supervisory position, 2 years GCC experience is a plus

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or Industrial Engineering
