Job Summary

The Interface Engineer ensures the accuracy and compliance of design deliverables while acting as the key liaison between stakeholders, subcontractors, and suppliers. Publish interface register and status reports at regular intervals till completion of project. This role manages project interfaces, secures necessary approvals and permits, and ensures the project meets budget, schedule, and regulatory requirements. Additionally, the Interface Engineer maintains communication with external parties to address their needs and manage expectations.

Job Responsibilities 1

 

Undertake interface progress assessment to identify delay and initiate remedial action if necessary.

Track Authority approvals, monitoring, escalation, expediting issues, issue resolution and risk mitigation.

Attend all meetings with Design Consultant(s), sub-consultants and Client's Meetings.

Oversee design consultants to ensure the correctness, completeness, and compliance of their work with project requirements.

Act as the focal point between stakeholders, subcontractors, and suppliers to manage interfaces and coordinate project activities.

Organize meetings with various stakeholders towards interfaces at regular intervals to review and work on actions.

Create and maintain interface register for the purpose, review, monitor and close all points in a timely manner.

Ensure the project adheres to the budget, schedule, and fit-for-purpose criteria.

Ensure legislative and regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Serve as the primary contact with external parties, addressing  concerns, understanding their needs, and managing expectations.

Job Knowledge & Skills

Strong ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external parties.

Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and resolve conflicts diplomatically.

Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve design or interface-related issues.

Analytical thinking to assess complex project needs and find effective solutions.

Proficiency in tools and software for interface management (e.g., CAD tools, project management software).

Ensuring accuracy in design deliverables, compliance with regulations, and adherence to project scope and budget.

ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.

Job Experience

Minimum 3 years working experience, 2 years relevant working experience, 1 year GCC experience is a plus.
