Job Summary
The I&C Engineer supports the design, integration, and lifecycle management of control systems across combined cycle power plant facilities. The role assists in deployment of DCS, SCADA, PLC, and turbine control systems, supports industrial network architecture implementation, and contributes to commissioning and startup activities while ensuring alignment with engineering specifications and operational requirements.
Job Responsibilities 1
Control Systems Engineering
• DCS/SCADA/PLC Support: Assist in design and implementation of control systems for CCGT facilities.
• Engineering Documentation: Develop P&IDs, control narratives, and loop diagrams.
• Turbine Controls Support: Assist in configuration of turbine control systems.
Industrial Networks & Integration
• Network Implementation: Support fiber optic and industrial Ethernet configuration.
• Telecom Coordination: Assist integration of PA/GA, CCTV, and communication systems.
• System Integration: Coordinate multi-vendor control system interfaces.
Commissioning & Testing
• FAT/SAT Participation: Support testing of control and instrumentation systems.
• Loop Testing & Calibration: Perform loop checks and calibration.
• Startup Support: Assist during commissioning and performance testing.
Vendor & Site Coordination
• Vendor Interface: Coordinate with control system vendors.
• Field Supervision: Support installation and wiring verification.
• Documentation: Prepare FDS and as-built documentation.
Quality & Compliance
• Standards Compliance: Ensure adherence to IEC and project standards.
• Cybersecurity Awareness: Support ICS cybersecurity implementation.
• HSE Compliance: Follow safety procedures during site activities.

Job Knowledge & Skills
• DCS/SCADA Platforms: Understanding of Honeywell, Siemens, Emerson, or Yokogawa systems.
• Power Plant Processes: Knowledge of gas turbines, steam turbines, HRSG, and balance of plant.
• Turbine Control Systems: Familiarity with GE, Siemens, or MHPS control platforms.
• Field Instrumentation: Knowledge of transmitters, analyzers, and SIS systems.
• Industrial Networks: Understanding of Modbus, Profibus, and Ethernet communication.
Job Experience
• Power Generation Experience: 5–8 years in instrumentation and control engineering.
• CCGT Exposure: Experience supporting combined cycle or power plant projects.
• Commissioning Experience: Involvement in FAT, SAT, and startup activities.
