Job Summary

    The Junior Floor Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of a designated area within a service-oriented establishment, such as a restaurant, hotel, or retail store. They support the Floor Supervisor or Manager in ensuring that service standards are met, guest satisfaction is maintained, and operational efficiency is optimized. Junior Floor Supervisors are responsible for assisting with staff supervision, training, and scheduling, as well as resolving guest complaints and concerns. They also assist in monitoring inventory levels, coordinating with other departments, and implementing operational procedures to enhance service delivery. Ultimately, Junior Floor Supervisors play a vital role in supporting the overall service operations and contributing to a positive guest experience.

Job Responsibilities 1

    Assist the Floor Supervisor or Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the designated area, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.

    Supervise and support frontline staff, including servers, hosts/hostesses, and bartenders, providing guidance, training, and feedback as needed.

    Monitor the performance of staff members, ensuring adherence to service standards, policies, and procedures.

    Assist in the scheduling of staff shifts, ensuring adequate coverage to meet operational needs and maintain service levels.

    Address guest inquiries, complaints, and concerns promptly and professionally, striving to resolve issues and enhance guest satisfaction.

    Maintain cleanliness and organization in the designated area, including dining areas, service stations, and restrooms, to uphold hygiene standards and ensure a pleasant environment for guests.

    Assist in conducting inventory checks and stock replenishment, ensuring adequate supplies of consumables and operational materials.

    Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate order preparation and delivery, minimizing wait times and maximizing guest satisfaction.

    Assist in implementing and enforcing health, safety, and sanitation protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.

    Support the Floor Supervisor or Manager in administrative tasks, such as reporting, record-keeping, and staff evaluations, to contribute to the efficient management of service operations.

Job Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of service standards and protocols within the hospitality industry, including restaurant or hotel operations.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with guests, staff, and management.

Strong leadership abilities to support and motivate frontline staff, delegate tasks, and resolve conflicts.

Attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure smooth operations and maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the designated area.

Problem-solving capabilities to address guest concerns, manage unexpected situations, and contribute to a positive guest experience.

ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.

Job Experience

Minimum 5 year(s) working experience, 3 year(s) relevant working experience, 2 year (s) GCC is a plus
