Job Summary

The Lead ELV Technical Engineer performs design management of various types of projects residential commercial, warehouse/industrial buildings. Reviews the ELV design of projects. Initiates value engineering exercises and identifies potential issues/constraints in design and construction during the early stages of design. Checks appropriateness of ELV systems and correctness of design criteria proposed by consultants. Provides direction to consultants to ensure complete submission of ELV deliverables within project schedule. Performs the task of managing the documentation of the ELV drawings in coordination with electrical, mechanical, architectural and structural Works.

Job Responsibilities 1

Lead the design and review of ELV systems, ensuring integration with security, fire alarm, BMS, automation, and communication systems.

Ensure ELV designs meet local regulations, industry standards (e.g., NFPA, BICSI), and project requirements.

Prepare, review, and approve ELV designs, schematics, technical specifications, and As-Built documentation.

Work with other engineering disciplines to integrate ELV systems into overall project designs and services.

Provide technical guidance, mentor junior engineers, and oversee the ELV engineering team.

Address complex technical challenges during design and construction phases, ensuring smooth project execution.

Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to align ELV requirements with project needs.

Support ELV system commissioning, conduct safety assessments, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Maintain technical records, compile system performance data, and provide reports to management and clients.

Stay updated on industry trends, recommend design process improvements, and implement innovative ELV solutions.

Job Knowledge & Skills

Advanced proficiency in CAD software and other design tools for drafting and creating technical drawings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design specifications.

Extensive knowledge of architectural and engineering principles to effectively coordinate technical aspects of projects and resolve design challenges.

Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards to ensure compliance and quality assurance throughout the design process.

Excellent communication and leadership skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, oversee technical coordination efforts, and align project objectives.

Problem-solving abilities to anticipate and address technical issues, optimize project outcomes, and contribute to the successful delivery of design projects.

ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.

Job Experience

Minimum 8 year(s) working experience, 5 year(s) relevant working experience, 2 year (s) GCC is a plus.
