Job Summary

The Lead Facilities Performance Engineer is responsible for monitoring, analysing, and improving the operational performance of airport facilities and built assets. The role focuses on ensuring that terminal buildings and associated infrastructure perform reliably, efficiently, and in line with service and safety expectations. The role provides performance insight that supports informed maintenance, investment, and operational decisions.

Job Responsibilities 1

Facilities Performance Monitoring

Track and analyse performance of airport facilities, including availability, service interruptions, condition indicators, and failure trends. Identify performance gaps affecting passenger experience, safety, or operational continuity.

Operational Performance Improvement

Develop and implement performance improvement initiatives aimed at reducing downtime, improving reliability, and enhancing facilities effectiveness. Support root‑cause analysis and corrective action planning.

Maintenance Effectiveness Assessment

Assess the effectiveness of maintenance programs by reviewing work orders, response times, repeat failures, and service outcomes. Recommend improvements to maintenance scope and scheduling.

Facilities Data & Reporting

Produce performance reports and dashboards for facilities assets, providing actionable insights to facilities management and airport operations leadership.

Technical Interface with Operations

Serve as the technical performance interface between facilities teams, maintenance contractors, and airport operations stakeholders, ensuring that performance insights translate into operational improvement.

Job Knowledge & Skills

Facilities Engineering Performance

Knowledge of how building systems and infrastructure behave under continuous operational loads within airport environments.

Performance Measurement & KPI Design

Ability to define and track meaningful facilities performance metrics that reflect reliability, efficiency, and service quality.

Maintenance Optimisation Techniques

Understanding of how maintenance strategies impact asset performance and service availability.

Data Analysis & Reporting

Capability to interpret operational data and translate it into clear performance insight and recommendations.

Operational Stakeholder Engagement

Ability to communicate technical performance findings to non‑technical operational stakeholders.

Job Experience

10+ years of experience in facilities engineering, performance monitoring, or infrastructure operations.
Experience working in large operational environments such as airports, transport hubs, or mixed‑use complexes.
Exposure to performance reporting and maintenance optimisation
