Job Summary

The Lead Power Plant Engineer is responsible for overseeing the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of our power plant facilities. Lead a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring the efficient and safe operation of the plant while adhering to regulatory standards and company policies.

Job Responsibilities 1

Lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians involved in the investment of power plant facilities.

Develop and implement strategies to optimize the performance and efficiency of power plant operations.

Oversee the design, construction, and commissioning of new power plant projects (preferably CCGT, Thermal) ensuring compliance with technical

Coordinate with other departments, including procurement, business development, finance, and environmental compliance, to ensure smooth and cost-effective operations.

Provide technical expertise and guidance to resolve complex engineering problems and troubleshoot equipment failures.

Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of power plant operations and identify areas for improvement.

Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to power generation and incorporate best practices into plant operations.

Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the power plant team.

Job Knowledge & Skills

Strong proficiency in AutoCAD software and other relevant tools.

·In-depth knowledge of pipeline design principles, construction methods, and materials.

Demonstrated project management experience, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Leadership and team management experience.

Commitment to safety, quality, and environmental stewardship, with a passion for excellence in engineering and operations.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to travel to project sites and work in challenging environments as needed.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.

Job Experience

Minimum 8 years working experience, 5 years in a relevant supervisory position, 2 years GCC experience is a plus

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
