Job Summary

The Lead Technical and Structural Engineer provides in-depth technical expertise in structural design and engineering across onshore and offshore oil and gas EPC projects. The role focuses on leading the execution of structural engineering deliverables and ensuring compliance with design standards, safety codes, and client specifications. The incumbent will act as the technical focal point within the structural engineering team, coordinate with consultants and construction teams, and support timely and quality delivery of engineering outputs.

Job Responsibilities 1

Lead the technical execution of structural engineering deliverables during FEED and EPC phases.

Prepare and review detailed structural calculations, layouts, 3D models, and design documentation in alignment with project requirements.

Support the development of work scopes and engineering execution plans, ensuring accurate estimation of man-hours and material requirements.

Provide subject matter expertise in structural codes (ACI, AISC, BS, Eurocode) and ensure adherence across all deliverables.

Interface with Engineering Consultants for design alignment, reviews, and compliance with project and regulatory standards.

Coordinate with construction teams to resolve site queries and support constructability and field design issues.

Participate in internal and external design reviews, HAZOPs, and risk assessments.

Monitor quality and progress of assigned engineering tasks and report variances proactively.

Mentor junior engineers and ensure adherence to best practices and technical standards within the team.

Provide technical evaluations for procurement and vendor documents relevant to structural components.

Job Knowledge & Skills

Industry Codes & Standards: Solid knowledge of ACI, AISC, BS, Eurocode, and relevant offshore structural codes.

EPC Project Lifecycle: Practical experience in FEED, detailed engineering, and construction support for oil & gas projects.

Engineering Tools: Proficient in structural analysis and design software such as STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, and AutoCAD.

Construction Interface: Good understanding of constructability and ability to resolve site-related structural issues.

ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role

Job Experience

Minimum 8 years working experience, 5 years in a relevant supervisory position, 2 years GCC experience is a plus

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering
Professional Qualification in in any Engineering related discipline (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical)
