Job Summary

The Legal Counsel is responsible to determine all commercial legal activities of the and to ensure that they are carried out in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and charters of the companies within the Group. The position assesses, control, and determine legal information to all stakeholders (e.g., cases, statutes, and regulations). Giving accurate and timely counsel to executives in a variety of legal topics. Collaborating with management to devise efficient defense strategies. Specifying internal governance policies and regularly monitor compliance.

Job Responsibilities 1

 

Contribute to the company’s vision, mission, and strategy by leading the legal strategy and ensuring alignment with broader organizational objectives.

Build and lead a motivated, engaged, and competent legal team by setting priorities, managing performance, and providing feedback and coaching.

Define an optimal legal department structure and direct its development for effective resource utilization.

Support the development of the legal department’s manpower plan, collaborating with Human Capital for timely and high-quality execution.

Provide direction for the preparation and consolidation of the legal department’s budget in line with the company's annual business plan.

Direct and approve legal proceedings related to PPP agreements, ensuring compliance and protecting company interests.

Manage legal matters across all business areas, including corporate affairs, procurement, safety, security, insurance, and sustainability.

Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks arising from the company’s business strategy and operations.

Ensure business operations adhere to relevant laws and regulations, and maintain employee awareness of legal compliance requirements.

Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of contracts, agreements, and legal documents, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Ensure the proper drafting and execution of legal documents, including notices, claims, board resolutions, shareholder assembly minutes, and official forms.

Job Knowledge & Skills

Comprehensive knowledge of legal principles, corporate law, and regulatory compliance relevant to group operations.

Strong analytical skills to assess legal risks, interpret complex laws, and provide strategic guidance to the organization.

Excellent communication and negotiation abilities to represent the group's interests in legal matters and negotiations.

Proficiency in drafting and reviewing a wide range of legal documents, contracts, and agreements.

Leadership capabilities to oversee legal affairs, manage legal teams, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.

ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.

Job Experience

Minimum 8 years working experience, 5 years in a relevant supervisory position, 2 years GCC experience is a plus.
