Job Summary

The Mechanical Supervisor in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) operations plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing the mechanical aspects of construction projects ensuring the successful execution of mechanical systems within a construction project, meeting quality standards, safety requirements, and project timelines.

Job Responsibilities 1

Collaborate with the project manager and other supervisors to develop project plans and schedules.

Coordinate mechanical activities with other disciplines such as electrical and plumbing to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems.

Lead and supervise a team of mechanical technicians and contractors.

Allocate tasks, provide guidance, and ensure that the team meets project deadlines and quality standards.

Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems, such as HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), plumbing, and firefighting systems.

Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and regulations.

Job Responsibilities 2

Conduct inspections to ensure that mechanical installations meet quality standards and are in accordance with project specifications.

Identify and address any issues or defects in the mechanical systems.

Enforce safety protocols and ensure that all mechanical activities adhere to safety regulations.

Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to mitigate potential hazards.

Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely delivery of mechanical materials and equipment.

Manage inventory and track the usage of materials on-site.

Maintain accurate records of mechanical installations, inspections, and tests.

Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the project manager.

Address and resolve any mechanical issues or conflicts that may arise during the construction process.

Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to find solutions to challenges.

Monitor and control costs related to mechanical activities, including labor, materials, and equipment.
