Job Summary

To coordinate department activities including budget development, equipment quality control and maintenance, inventory and ordering of supplies, and performance improvement. Leads and manages the operational activities for assigned sections/modalities, locations, and support areas.

Job Responsibilities 1

  • Monitor and evaluate applications and quality of new equipment and software enhancements provided by outside
  • manufacturers and internal program sources.
  • Issue written instructions to radiologists and technologists in relation to methods and means of execution and improvement of x-ray examinations and all Imaging studies.
  • Issue list of requirements for special investigations, determine and organize all precautions for possible complications (contrast media).
  • Monitor staff who controls such equipment, including but not limited to x-ray machines, computerized tomography scanners, magnetic resonance imaging machines and fluoroscope tools
  • Offer a comprehensive spectrum of excellent radiology services, including overseeing radiology and diagnostic imaging procedures and troubleshooting any related issues.

Job Responsibilities 2

  • Ensure radiologists issue report and review same in respect of correctness and accuracy.
  • Inspect x-ray requests in respect to adequacy and coordinate with corresponding specialists with the aim of reducing unnecessary patient radiation.
  • Maintain safety standards as they relate to radioactivity as provided by federal and local regulations, and keep staff and patients within safety levels by controlling and recording dealings with radium
  • Adhere to all appropriate radiology standards of operation and patient care standards, including meeting efficiency and productivity standards, identifying issues in the system, and working to improve these and offering insight to annual strategic plans and white papers.

Job Knowledge & Skills

• Strong Knowledge of the Radiology industry

• Advanced knowledge of protocols regulating the safety of Radiology Equipment.

• Exceptional communication skills in advising customers and managing employees.

• Diploma or Degree in Radiology required.

• Ability to proactively follow up on any irregularities with the outcomes.

• Competency in radiology management software/systems.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.

Job Experience

Minimum 12 years of experience in Radiology (required)

6 Years Radiology Management Experience

Minimum 3 years in GCC (preferred)

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Applied Science
