Job Summary

    The Paralegal Assistant looks into a variety of tasks to support lawyers, counsels, including maintaining and organizing files, conducting legal research, and drafting documents.

Job Responsibilities 1

    Investigate and gather the facts of the cases.

    Conduct research on relevant laws, regulations, and legal articles .

    Organize and maintain documents in paper or electronic filing systems.

    Gather and arrange evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation .

    Write or summarize reports to help lawyers/Counsels prepare for trials.

    Draft correspondence and legal documents, such as contracts and mortgages.

    Gather affidavits and other formal statements that may be used as evidence in court

    Help lawyers/Counsels during trials by handling exhibits, taking notes, or reviewing trial transcripts

    File exhibits, briefs, appeals and other legal documents with the court or opposing counsel

    Call clients, witnesses, lawyers/Counsels, and outside vendors to schedule interviews, meetings, and depositions

Job Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and concepts relevant to various areas of law, such as civil litigation, corporate law, or real estate, to effectively assist with legal research and document preparation.

Proficiency in organizing, reviewing, and maintaining legal documents, including contracts, court filings, and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.

Strong research skills to conduct legal research using online databases, case law, statutes, and regulations, gathering relevant information to support attorneys in case preparation and analysis.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to draft legal documents, correspondence, and reports, as well as communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and court personnel.

Keen attention to detail to accurately review and proofread legal documents, identify inconsistencies or errors, and ensure all necessary information is included in filings and correspondence.

ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.

Job Experience

Minimum 5 year(s) working experience, 3 year(s) relevant working experience, 2 year (s) GCC is a plus
