Payroll Specialist
Job Summary
The Payroll Specialist will oversee the end-to-end attendance management process for both staff and labor employees, ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and payroll processing. This role will also be responsible for conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for payroll system upgrades, ensuring system accuracy, and troubleshooting issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of attendance policies, payroll processes, and experience with payroll software systems.
Job Responsibilities 1
Track and manage attendance for all employees (staff/ labor) using attendance software/systems, ensuring accurate recording of hours worked, leaves, absences, and overtime.
Review and validate attendance data to ensure compliance with company policies and labor laws.
Collaborate with HR and department managers to address attendance discrepancies or issues, including tardiness, absenteeism, and leave requests.
Ensure accurate and timely integration of attendance data into the payroll system for processing.
Generate and analyze regular attendance reports for both staff and labor employees, including absences, late arrivals, overtime, and other attendance-related metrics.
Provide managers and HR teams with regular and ad-hoc attendance reports to support decision-making and workforce management.
Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in attendance records, collaborating with relevant departments as needed.
Assist payroll team leader in processing monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring that attendance records, overtime, deductions, and adjustments are accurately reflected.

Ensure compliance with tax regulations, benefits, and statutory requirements in payroll processing.
Review payroll data for accuracy and completeness before final submission.
Communicate with employees regarding payroll inquiries, discrepancies, or concerns related to their pay based on attendance.
Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for payroll system upgrades and new features, ensuring that system changes work as intended.
Test system updates to ensure accurate integration between attendance management data and payroll processing.
Work closely with IT and payroll software vendors to report issues, track resolutions, and provide feedback for system improvements.
Assist in training users on new payroll system features and improvements related to attendance management.

Job Knowledge & Skills
Experience with UAT (User Acceptance Testing) for payroll systems or related software is highly desirable..
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite.
ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role. Proficient in payroll systems and attendance management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle or similar systems).
Job Experience
Minimum 5 years working experience, 3 years relevant working experience, 2 years GCC experience is a plus.
