Job Summary

The Preventive Maintenance Supervisor is responsible to manage a self‐directing, multi‐skilled team to maximize operational availability and efficiency of Engineering Plant and Equipment to meet internal customer needs .





Job Roles & Responsibilities

Principal Accountabilities

  • Manage break downs and maintenance to meet the internal customer requirement ensuring adherence to the defined safety and Quality standards,
  • Co‐ordinate the execution of planned preventive maintenance task to ensure equipments perform as required,
  • Review of the equipment deficiencies and take corrective action

Essential Function

1.Executes the planning and execution of the planned preventative maintenance of all plant and equipment to meet the demands of the process and manufacturing end users.
2.Ensures full implementation of defined and laid down Safety systems and safe practices of work continually upgrading safety awareness and practices within the team.
3.Agrees tasks and targets with Engineering Manager and make plans with team members for achievement.
4.Conducts duties in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures as specified in the manufacturer's recommendations and/or Quality System.
5.Implements defined and laid down Safety systems and safe practices of work continually upgrading safety awareness and practices within the team.
6.Identifies, plans and implements requisite training to ensure continued development of all team members ensuring that an adequately maintained skills inventory is in place.
7.Reports Technical Data and Plant status to relevant manager.
8.Ensures GMP is maintained and increased within the team and that all operations are conducted within the specified quality standards and parameters.
9.Identifies training needs of maintenance technicians and ensure that the required skills inventory is in the place.

Job Knowledge


  • Knowledge of applicable safety requirements
  • Knowledge in dairy principles and processes.
  • Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies and procedures,
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures for reporting purposes
  • Knowledge of ERP Systems
