Job Summary

To strategically source and manage capital expenditures (CAPEX) for the supply chain function, driving cost efficiency, mitigating risk, and enabling operational capability through optimal acquisition of machinery, automation, and infrastructure assets.

Job Responsibilities 1

Develop and execute category strategies for CAPEX assets (machinery, automation, material handling systems, facility expansions).

Lead end-to-end sourcing projects: market analysis, RFx, negotiations, supplier selection, and contract award.

Qualify, onboard, and manage strategic suppliers for CAPEX projects and conduct supplier performance reviews, risk assessments, and develop improvement plans.

​​​​​​​Drive cost savings through TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) analysis, value engineering, and negotiation and ​​​​​​​track savings and report against CAPEX budgets.

 

​​​​​​​Partner with Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Project Management to align CAPEX procurement with business goals and ​​​​translate technical specifications into commercial requirements.

​​​​​​​Identify supply chain risks (lead times, geo-political, single-source dependencies) and develop mitigation plans., and  ​​​​​​​ensure business continuity for critical equipment.

Job Responsibilities 2

Draft and negotiate complex CAPEX contracts (e.g., equipment purchase, installation, maintenance clauses), and manage warranties, SLAs, and compliance throughout the asset lifecycle.

Monitor CAPEX market trends, technology advancements, and supplier innovations, and advise stakeholders on cost/benefit of new solutions.

Integrate ESG criteria (e.g., energy efficiency, emissions) into supplier selection, and ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory standards (e.g., import/export, safety)

Collaborate on maintenance/upgrade strategies post-installation, and optimiize end-of-life asset recovery/resale.

Job Experience

Minimum 5 years working experience, 3 years relevant working experience, 2 years GCC experience is a plus
