Job Summary

The Program Manager takes ownership of the IT projects to ensure applications and services are successfully delivered (e.g. against scope, cost, time, quality) and maintained through the application of program management methodologies and business operations. The role will be responsible for upholding processes for Project Management resources, and for projects and program delivery across initiatives that are strategic and complex in their nature. The role will be responsible for the definition, implementation, and evolution of business processes, and continuous improvement activities in line with the PMO standards and framework.

Job Responsibilities 1

Play a pivotal role in the IT strategy, including the design and approval of project plans, IT budget exercises, and project rollouts. Actively participate in mergers and acquisitions to ensure seamless IT integration.

Develop high-level enterprise architecture according to The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) or an equivalent framework, ensuring alignment of technology projects with existing clinical implementations.

Create an IT governance framework in collaboration with the PMO, establishing the necessary committees to integrate and coordinate different business stakeholders.

Develop and implement disciplined processes to successfully scope, plan, and deliver complete projects and programs in line with business operations.

Understand key business and technology drivers that influence estimating and delivery processes.

Ensure consistent application of project and program management methodologies, controls, and standards across all initiatives.

Support portfolio management and prioritize resources for each initiative while maintaining an understanding of the work pipeline.

Provide guidance to project managers and ensure accurate and timely project reporting.

Serve as a point of escalation for project teams, helping to identify and resolve issues, manage risks, execute mitigation plans, develop detailed plans, and perform resource allocations.

Lead the decision-making process within the project context, focusing on work processes, deliverables, and expected results.

Job Knowledge & Skills

Comprehensive knowledge of project management methodologies, IT systems, and technologies to oversee complex IT programs effectively.

Proficiency in strategic planning, resource allocation, and risk management to ensure successful delivery of IT programs on time and within budget.

Strong leadership and team management skills to lead cross-functional teams, drive collaboration, and motivate team members towards program objectives.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities to liaise with diverse stakeholders, including executives, clients, and technical teams, and ensure alignment with program goals.

Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, and adapting to changing priorities to achieve program success.

ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.

Job Experience

Minimum 8 years working experience, 5 years in a relevant supervisory position, 2 years GCC experience is a plus

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
Master's degree in Business Administration or any related field
