Job Summary

The QA/QC Director is responsible to lead and manage the operation, resources and organization of the organization Quality Assurance function, executing sound business decisions which support the organization's overall business strategy. This position ensures effective and efficient monitoring of project specific Quality Plans, QA/QC processes and procedures in compliance with client's quality requirements; and monitors that these are implemented.

Job Responsibilities 1

Lead QA/QC strategic planning and quality yearly objective setting that meet compliance requirements and business needs, this includes managing to a budget and driving continuous improvement.

Provide direction for quality assurance, quality control, regulatory compliance, and standard operating procedures across the organization.

Establish and directs QA/QC audits, reviews, surveillance and follow-ups of individual projects.

Ensure the organization’s Integrated Management System conforms to customer, internal, and applicable regulatory/legal requirements.

Establish, monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of the organization and project teams to ensure continuous improvement.

Analyze department’s KPIs; evaluates trends and provides improvement strategies. Establish project quality objectives in line with SHEQ corporate objectives and ensure to monitor submittals of QA/ QC reports.

Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection.

Develop risk management strategy that helps organization improve profitability by reducing risk and improving efficiency via process management and risk mitigation.

Provide regular up-to-date reports on QMS performance such as quality audit results, implemented corrective actions, improvement needs and various statistical analysis. Insure adequate corrective measures are implemented in cases of noncompliance.

Promote the importance of Quality throughout the Company in alignment with corporate strategy whilst supports creation of project implementation plans and training.

Direct and lead implementation of organization policies, procedures, and best practices to promote compliance.

Oversees the project QA/QC plan and supervise all amendments and revisions in order to meet the project quality requirements and client’s expectations.

Oversee all quality assurance operational requirement.

Job Knowledge & Skills

Extensive knowledge of quality assurance/quality control management practices, processes and current technology.

Certification of ISO 9001:2015 as Internal Auditor

Knowledge of all work-related standards, Specifications and Quality systems such as: QCS, ISO 31000, ISO 22301, ASTM, BS, BSEN, ACI and AASHTO etc.

Knowledge of local employment laws/regulations sufficient to analyze proposed personnel and policies.

ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.

Job Experience

Minimum 8 years working experience, 5 years in a relevant supervisory position, 2 years GCC experience is a plus

Profesional degree in any related field
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture
