Job Summary

The QA/QC Officer reviews and understand plans and specifications, and compare completed work against the specification requirements. Assists in monitoring overall performance with regards to technical quality and compliance with design and specification requirements.

Job Responsibilities 1

Inspects completed work or work in progress to determine whether the work meet the specifications.

Ensures to report on work that does not meet the requirements.

Identifies approaches and methods to improve overall quality.

Assists in establishing control of QA/QC Plans, Method of Statements and Test Plans before commencement of the project and implementing it during the project in order to meet the project quality requirements and client’s expectations.

Prepares work inspection request (WIR) for each construction activity and submitted to consultant to ensure it covers all the construction activities done on site.

Conducts the quality tool box and method statement briefing for all the activities.

Job Responsibilities 2

Ensures all incoming materials are checked as per the project specifications and approved material submittals.

Monitors the concrete operation and workman ship at site.

Conducts snagging/punch list prior to handing-over of completed works.

Identifies approaches and methods to improve overall quality.

Inspects completed work or work in progress to determine whether the work meet the specifications.

Ensures compliance to standards and regulations at all times.

Job Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge on the Quality Management System (QMS) or Integrated Management System (IMS).Proficient in computer applications and systems such as Microsoft Office, Auto Cad, Primavera.Sets priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities.Performs Quality Field talks and trainings to the staff on work methodologies.Analyzes complex technical data such as using logic and quantitative reasoning.Knowledge of work related standards, specifications, and quality systems such as: ISO 9001, QCS, ASTM, BS, BSEN, ACI and AASHTO.With enough technical experience on dealing with various QC issues.Knowledge of local employment laws/regulations sufficient to analyze proposed policies.

• ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
Professional Qualification in MMUP Engineer Registration (UPDA) or Lead Auditor certification (ISO 9001 or equal) or ASQC certification (CQM/CQE).
